Refund Policy

This policy explains when you can get a refund for a IdealCV subscription. It supplements our Terms of Service and Sale.

Our commitment

We want you to be able to try our paid plans without risk. That's why IdealCV grants a full refund, no questions asked, when you request it within 14 days of:

• your first payment for a PRO plan, monthly or yearly;
• the renewal of a yearly subscription.

The 14 days start from the date of the payment concerned.

7-day free trial

Nothing is charged during the free trial of the monthly PRO plan (the yearly plan has none), so there is nothing to refund. If you cancel before the trial ends, no payment is taken. If the trial becomes a subscription, the 14-day period above starts from that first payment.

What is not refunded

• Monthly renewals are not refunded. You can, however, cancel at any time to stop the next renewal.
• Requests made after the 14-day period, except where the law provides for a refund, for example if the Service does not conform to what was agreed.
• The free plan, which involves no payment.

How to request a refund

1. Open the contact form.
2. Select the "Billing" category.
3. Enter the email address linked to your account and say that you are requesting a refund.
4. Send your request.

You don't have to explain your decision, although your feedback helps us improve the Service.

Processing and timing

Once your request is approved, the refund is made to the payment method used for the purchase, within 14 days. Depending on your bank, it may take a few extra days for the amount to appear on your statement.

We cannot refund to any payment method other than the original one. Payments are handled by our provider [TO BE COMPLETED], and IdealCV never has access to your card details.

What happens to your subscription

Refunding a payment ends the related subscription. Your account then moves back to the free plan:

• your resumes, versions and cover letters remain available;
• PDF exports carry the IdealCV logo again and DOCX export is no longer available;
• free plan quotas apply again, including 10 AI uses per day.

Cancelling without a refund

If you simply want to stop your subscription, you don't need to contact us. Open Account → Subscription and cancel in one click. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period: you keep access to your plan until then and no further payment is taken. You can reactivate your subscription until the period ends.

Renewal is automatic and the renewal date is clearly shown in your subscription settings: there is no hidden renewal.

Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer living in the European Union, you also have the statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts, under the conditions and limits set by the French Consumer Code for digital services.

The 14-day refund described above is a voluntary commitment by IdealCV. It comes on top of your legal rights and does not replace them.
